As Pod Lead you will lead and inspire a cross functional team to grow audiences on Facebook, YouTube, Snapchat and Tiktok.. You will delve into the insights, report on company goals and ensure deliverables are met.
 

A Day in the Life:

Pod Lead

SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER

Location: Remote

Work Type: Full Time

As a Social Media Manager, your mission will be to grow audiences of creators and iconic entertainment brand’s social media pages. You will develop and execute content and programming strategies, manage communities and provide insights and reporting on channel goals to ensure deliverables are met. You will be part of a motivated, cross functional team of social media managers, strategists and video editors.

A Day in the Life:

  • Build communities of superfans around your channels

  • Make clickable thumbnails and titles and write compelling copy to drive people to discover and watch your content

  • Design, manage, implement and optimise the content plan for your channels 

  • Oversee multiple accounts at once and build strong relationships with clients 

  • Analyse your channels for internal and client presentations, contribute insights and make recommendations on how to do things better

  • Collaborate with and oversee your team of video editors to create awesome content

  • Keep your finger on the pulse of new social media trends, platforms and products 


What we’re looking for:

  • 2-3 years of experience in social video and managing social media channels in a professional setting (YouTube, Facebook) 

  • Proven track record in growing social audiences

Social Media Manager

CHANNEL COORDINATOR

Location: Canmore, AB, Canada

Work Type: Full Time

As Channel Coordinator you are responsible for supporting content and projects across multiple clients as well as across Totem’s owned and operated productions. You will oversee audience growth across key channels, provide insights and reports on company goals, support growth in the Canadian market and ensure deliverables are met.

 

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Manage delivery of thumbnail briefs 

  • Update metadata (titles, descriptions, tags) on underperforming content 

  • Update platform tools on existing uploads to accelerate reach, engagement and views (end screens, info cards, pinned comments etc.) 

  • Provide ad hoc support on feed post creation designed to drive engagement 

  • Manage communities across channels in within Pod on a daily basis to build fandoms and moderate pages

  • Oversee and monitor performance on channels, providing updates and insights

  • Consistently embody Totem values of professionalism and innovation 

What we’re looking for

Love social video? Addicted to YouTube, Facebook, Snapchat and TikTok?  We’re growing our editing and content team and looking for Full-Time Junior/ Senior Video Editors to join us! This is a position for skilled individuals who love social media. 

 

The Position

As a video editor, you will be responsible for the creation of content on some of our biggest social video pages. Your mission will be to create video content that people love watching, across the world’s biggest social platforms. 

 

The ideal candidate will be responsible for editing videos to maximise audience retention, engagement and advertising revenue. You will be efficient and productive, creating a high volume of entertaining and quality content. 

 

The video editor will be working across exciting social media channels of Australia’s biggest creators and iconic media properties. You will work in a cross functional team of video editors and social media managers and report to your Pod Lead.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and edit dynamic videos for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat or YouTube

  • Find the most effective ways to adapt content designed for one social platform to another

  • Edit high volume of social videos daily, managing your time effectively and to meet deadlines

  • Understand and apply social data and insights to improve video performance and develop and test new formats

  • Adapt editing styles for each creator or brand, including implementing and creating design templates

  • Use technical video editing skills to edit and produce captivating social video content

  • Ensure consistent and timely output of content on the pages you are working on

  • Collaborate with social media managers and strategists to come up with the best solutions and creative ideas

 

Essential Experience

  • Have formal tertiary training or relevant experience in video editing 

  • Experience editing social video, with experience editing for at least one of YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, Snapchat. 

  • Are passionate about video content on social media and keeping up to date with latest social content trends. 

  • Strong storytelling instincts

  • Proficient with Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop is a +

  • Ability to work positively with others as well as independently

  • Strong communication skills

As a Social Media Management Intern you are responsible for supporting content across multiple clients and projects. You will support audience building and growth strategies across various channels, provide insights, reports and implement content optimisation strategies across channels to maximise results.  

 

You will demonstrate a self-driven work ethic, strong initiative and attention-to-detail.

 

What you will learn:

VIDEO EDITING INTERN

Location: Remote

Work Type: Internship (Unpaid, Part time)

If you are a media student or recent graduate who is passionate about creating videos for YouTube, Facebook, TikTok or Snapchat pages, then this is your calling! 

Duration: 3 month period


What you will learn:

  • Workflows and processes of a fast paced, rapidly growing post production team

  • Best practices for editing videos for social media 

  • Creating a post production set up that allows you to work from home

  • Work side by side with professional editors, content strategists, social media managers 

  • Work with Australia’s best TV and creator content


Your tasks will include:

  • Performing research for process improvements

  • Attending content and strategy meetings

  • Assembling or selecting clips

  • Reviewing content 

  • Creating and reviewing captions

  • Organising video assets


Requirements:

  • Studying (or recently completed studies in) video editing or similar

  • Have good communication skills and attention to detail

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud edit suite (Premiere Pro) and Google Office (Sheets, Docs) is desirable

As a Digital Rights Manager at Totem, your mission is to ensure the efficient and accurate management of digital rights across various content platforms in our network. You will collaborate closely with your team to resolve issues, maintain organized catalogues, and streamline workflows.

 

You will be self-motivated to ensure correct application of rights across various digital platforms. 

 

A Day in the Life:

  • Digital Rights Management: Monitor and address digital rights infringements and conflicts on video platforms

  • Client Management: Develop strong client relationships

  • Digital Asset Management: Develop and maintain organized catalogues 

  • Content Management Systems (CMS): Manage YouTube and Facebook CMSs, finding opportunities to improve workflows and increase efficiency

  • Internal Team Collaboration: Collaborate and connect with your team

  • Monitoring & Reporting: Monitor the performance of digital assets and generate reports 

  • Policy & Best Practices: Keep up-to-date with changes in platform policies and industry best practices
